In a series of collaborations, Vicky is inviting comrades to cook a dish of their choice while caring for one another. With the ingredients, Vicky designs visual patterns which are printed on small square towels. These towels are a symbol of community care and resilience through nourishing the body, sharing intimate stories and soaking up knowledge. This creates deep connections between people which can allow for collaboratively dismantling unjust systems of oppression and inequity together.

Promona cooked a Prawn Malaikari (old Bengali fusion dish with heavy east Asian influence, hence the name 'Malay-Curry') eaten with rice.
While marinating prawns, frying spices and infusing the coconut milk, Vicky and Promona spoke about the history of the dish and how it is connected to lands and time … before it became the old Bengali dish it is today.

Vicky is a committed activist and community builder working closely with the Asian diaspora, migrant-seen communities in Germany and LGBTQIA+ community; organising festivals, events, workshops and demos. Food has been a centre for much of her work as an alternative educator, designer and cook. Being Australian born with Chinese-Teochew, Thai, and Vietnamese heritage, she believes that the richness of mixing cultures should be celebrated and as a way to bring new structures into society. She hopes to build bridges through food for diverse communities to overcome the system that restricts us from coming together and rising.

Promona Sengupta is an academic, artist, and activist living and working in Berlin. She comes from the city of Kolkata. Her career goal is to achieve barrier-free time travel for all.
