To be tiny is not a bad thing
This project stems from Bilin Ji’s body. She uses photography and poetry as a bridge to frame the cognition and thinking of body images under different cultural backgrounds in Eastern and Western societies. As an experiment, she created a scenario where Dutch people who are over 190 cm tall live on their knees and experience the perspective of an Asian person who is 155 cm tall in The Netherlands. As a result, the photography series reflects the thinking about body shame in the different cultural backgrounds of the East and the West.
